Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Rick Cloyd and Deputy Travis Napier arrested a Fayette County man on Tuesday evening November 29, 2016 at approximately 5:13 PM.
Arrested was:
Eric Meek age 39 of Mt. McKinley Way, Lexington, KY
The arrest occurred on Keavy Road approximately 2/10 mile south of London after Deputy Cloyd observed this subject driving a black colored Chevrolet S-10 pickup with no seatbelt on and conducted a traffic stop and an investigation on the driver determining that he was under the influence.
In addition, this subject was also charged with assault – fourth degree – domestic violence after deputies conducted an investigation into a domestic violence complaint and learned that this subject had allegedly kicked in the door of their apartment and assaulted his wife leaving visible injuries on her – the assault allegedly occurred in the presence of two children- a six your old and a five-year-old.
Eric Meek was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
