LSO arrest man on Burglary & multiple other charges


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Detective Kevin Berry arrested Stephen Eversole age 36 of address not known on Sunday night December 4, 2016 at approximately 8:12 PM.

The arrest occurred on Chapel Road, approximately 5 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject was kicking the door of a residence there attempting to gain entry and was stating that he was going to kill everyone inside. Deputies also learned that the subject had apparently stopped a truck in the roadway and would not allow the vehicle to pass.

When Detective Berry arrived at the scene the subject fled to the back yard where Detective Berry noted the subject appeared to be intoxicated and was very belligerent.

While being placed into custody, the subject pulled away and began to struggle with Detective Berry and attempted to flee again, but after a foot chase of approximately 200 yards this subject was caught and struggled again with deputies and kicked Deputy Travis Napier before being taken into custody again.

Stephen Eversole was charged with burglary – second degree; criminal mischief – second degree; public intoxication – controlled substances; resisting arrest; fleeing or evading police – second degree – on foot; assault – third-degree – please officer is victim; disorderly conduct – second degree; and terroristic threatening – third-degree.

This subject was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Deputies assisting on the arrest and investigation included Deputy Travis Napier, Deputy Cody Faulconer, Deputy Charlie Johnson, and Deputy Gary Mehler.
