Victim airlifted following crash in Clay County

Clay County, KY - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on May 24, 2019 at approximately 8:00 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Tommy Houston along with CSO Wes Brumley was dispatched to a vehicle over embankment on North Highway 66 around Bar Creek Road.

When deputies arrived on scene it appeared as if the truck was approximately 100+ feet over the embankment, CSO Wes Brumley along with Clay County EMS Danny Allen repelled down the steep embankment and was successfully able to help rescue the driver.

The driver had to be transported to Big Creek Elementary where he was flown out due to severe injuries sustained in the accident.
