Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Kyle Gray along with Detective Daniel Grigsby are conducting a death investigation which occurred on York Shire Estates Road approximately 3 miles southwest of London on Friday morning June 14, 2019 at approximately 9:30 AM.
The Sheriff’s office was dispatched to a body on fire complaint in a driveway at a residence there.
Major Chuck Johnson was the first officer on scene and he found a burned body who was deceased in the driveway of the residence.
An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the death.
An autopsy will be conducted in Frankfort on Saturday to assist on the investigation.
The victim is identified as:
Billy Bowling age 86 of London.
Assisting at the scene for the Laurel County Sheriff’s office was:
Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards, Detective Bryon Lawson, Capt. Kevin Berry, Sgt. Brett Reeves, Deputy Taylor McDaniel, and Deputy Gilbert Acciardo.
Also assisting at the scene was Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County and the Laurel County Coroner’s office. Investigation is continuing.
