Clay County Chief Deputy arrests 2 for drugs & other charges

Clay County, KY -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on June 19, 2019 at approximately 5:00 PM Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones arrested Shawna Wilmer, 49 of Mae Reid Road and Sally Johnson, 37 of Reed Branch Road.

The arrest occurred when Chief Deputy Jones conducted a traffic stop on Upper Rader Road for vehicle infractions, upon running the driving status of the driver it was confirmed through Clay County Dispatch the subject was operating a motor vehicle on suspended or revoked license.

Once the driver was told she was under arrest she became disorderly toward Chief Deputy Jones, search of both driver and passenger resulted in illegal possession of controlled substances on both subjects.

The passenger of the vehicle was also charged with a Laurel County District Court warrant. 

Shawna Wilmer was charged with:

  • Driving on DUI Suspended License- 1st Offense
  • No Operator or Moped License
  • Disorderly Conduct, 1st Degree
  • Possession of Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree (Drug Unspecified)

Sally Johnson was charged with:

  • Serving Bench Warrant for Court
  • Prescription Controlled Substance not in Original Container 1st Offense
