Manchester man charged with Impersonating a Police Officer

Clay County, Ky. - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on July 4, 2019 at approximately 1:30 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Michael Marcum, 52 of Locust Street.

The arrest occurred at CMR gas station when Deputy Houston observed the above mentioned subject passed out behind the wheel of an automobile with it still being in gear.

Upon contact with the subject, Deputy Houston determined through investigation the subject was under the influence. While being placed under arrest, he told Deputy Houston and Manchester City Police Officer Ryan Jackson that he shouldn't be arrested because he was a FBI agent.

The subject was transported to Advent Health Manchester where he refused to submit to a blood test. 

Michael Marcum was charged with:

  • Operating Motor vehicle under the influence of ALC/DRUGS/ETC
  • Impersonating a Police Officer
  • Serving Bench Warrant for Court
  • Operating Motor vehicle on Suspended or Revoked Operator license

Assisting at the scene was Manchester City Police Officer Ryan Jackson and Manchester City Police Officer Jeff Couch.
