Arrest at crash scene on parkway in Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on July 11, 2019 at approximately 9:00 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Clifford Morris, 64 of East Bernstadt.

The arrest occurred when Deputy Houston responded to a three vehicle injury accident on the Hal Rogers Parkway.

The above mentioned subject stated to Deputy Houston that he became upset when the driver of a Black Chevrolet Tahoe passed him, he then rammed the Tahoe which caused him to bounce off the rear of the Tahoe and strike a Chevrolet Cobalt head on.

Once the above mentioned subject exited his vehicle he then attempted to enter into the Black Tahoe to possibly cause harm to the driver.

Once emergency personnel arrived on scene he became disorderly towards EMS and Fire Department units on scene.

Assisting at the scene was Clay County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Edwards, Clay County Sheriff CSO Wes Brumley, Kentucky State Police Trooper Ethan Lewis, Manchester and Lockards Creek Fire Department and Clay County EMS.

Clifford Morris, 64 was charged with:

• Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
• Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree
• Menacing
• Disorderly Conduct 1st Degree
