KSP UPDATE: Death Investigation of two year old child in Whitley County

London, Ky. (August 3, 2019) - On Thursday, August 01, 2019 at approximately 2:32 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London was contacted by Whitley County 911 about a two year old child that had been located deceased and requesting assistance at a residence on Leona Wyatt Road in Whitley County.

Upon arrival, Troopers learned that Whitley County Sheriff’s Office had been dispatched to the residence in reference to a missing child at approximately 2:04 PM. Deputies and Corbin Police Officer’s arrived on scene and conducted a search of the property and located the child Aubrey Rose, 2, of Corbin unresponsive on the property.

The child was transported to Baptist Health Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.

The body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy which will be conducted tomorrow.

The cause, and time of death are pending the autopsy results.

KSP Detective James Royal is continuing the investigation.

***UPDATE***

Upon Further investigation, KSP Detective James Royal received preliminary autopsy report from the State Medical Examiners today August 2, 2019.

The preliminary autopsy findings for the cause of death were consistent with Hyperthermia. No foul play is suspected.

Post 11 London KSP Detective James Royal is continuing the investigation.
