Investigation during Traffic Stop leads to Arrest in Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on August 16, 2019 at approximately 4:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Edwards arrested William Wolfe, 35 of Clay Carpet Road.

The arrest occurred when Deputy Edwards was conducting patrol on North Highway 421 when he initiated a traffic stop for vehicle infractions on a tan in color GMC.

Upon making contact with the driver, Deputy Edwards observed the male individual show obvious signs of impairment.

Deputy Edwards conducted an investigation at which time determined the male driver was operating the motor vehicle under the influence. 

William Wolfe, 35 was charged with:

• Improper Equipment
• Rear License Not Illuminated
• Operating Motor Vehicle under the Influence ALC/DRUGS/ETC.
