Butcher knife found concealed on man arrested for Assault in Clay County

Clay County, Ky. - The Clay County Sheriffs Office is reporting that: On August 16, 2019 at approximately 10:45 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Tommy Houston along with Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson arrested Thomas Patterson, 34 of Popular Lane.

The arrest occurred when Deputy Houston and Sheriff Robinson was dispatched to Arrowhead Court on a possible domestic fight.

Upon arrival Deputy Houston observed the above mentioned subject and female individual outside of a residence having a verbal altercation.

Deputy Houston conducted an investigation at which time it was determined that the male individual had grabbed the female by the hair numerous times.

During the search Deputy Houston located a butcher knife concealed on the subject.

Thomas Patterson was charged with:

• Assault 4th Degree, Domestic Violence
• Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
• Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
