Two arrested in cemetery during a Laurel County drug investigation

Laurel County, Ky. (Sept. 18, 2019) -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards along with Detective Bryon Lawson, Detective James Sizemore, Deputy Taylor McDaniel, and Bailiff Jacklyn Johnson arrested two individuals found in a red Dodge Ram pickup in McHargue Cemetery approximately six miles south of London on Tuesday afternoon September 17, 2019 at approximately 1:00 PM.

The arrests occurred while Laurel County Sheriff's investigators were conducting a drug investigation in that area and located these suspects.

The two individuals there were found in possession of suspected Methamphetamine, Neurontin, pipes, scales, and over 20 needles.

The female subject there admitted using Meth earlier.

The two arrested individuals were identified as:

Junior Ray Jones age 39 of Levi Rd., London charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a controlled substance – second-degree
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense

Glenda Grubb age 37 of Levi Rd., London charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Public intoxication – controlled substances

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
