Man wanted on Clay County warrant arrested for drugs in Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. (October 16, 2019) - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Capt. Kevin Berry along with Major Chuck Johnson, Deputy Taylor McDaniel, and Deputy Joey Robinson arrested Michael McFadden age 33 of Smith Lane, London on Wednesday morning October 16, 2019 at approximately 10:04 AM.

The arrest occurred off Rader Ridge Road, approximately 4 miles northeast of London while deputies were attempting to serve three bench warrants there and located assorted pills, a white crystal substance field tested and determined to be Methamphetamine, a syringe, and a tourniquet.

The male subject there did not have a prescription for any of the pills.

Michael McFadden was charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Two counts of possession of a controlled substance – third-degree
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

McFadden was also charged on:

  • 2 Knox County bench warrants of arrest and 1 Clay County bench warrant of arrest, all for failure to appear in court

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
