Complaint Arrest near Manchester Elementary School

Clay County, Ky. (October 18, 2019) - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on October 17, 2019 at approximately 8:00 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Wes Brumley arrested Clinton Sizemore Jr., 28 of North Highway 421.

The arrest occurred when Deputy Brumley received a complaint of a possible intoxicated male subject along the roadway attempting to flag down traffic.

Upon arrival, Deputy Brumley came into contact with the subject in front of Manchester Elementary School.

Deputy Brumley noted that the subject was manifestly under the influence of intoxicants, the subject failed to obey lawful commands at which time attempted to flee from Deputy Brumley and responding officers on scene with attempt to gain entry into their patrol car.

Deputy Brumley deployed his taser, after a brief scuffle the subject was placed under arrest without further incident.

Clinfton Sizemore Jr. was charged with:

• Fleeing or Evading Police, 2nd Degree (On Foot)
• Resisting Arrest
• Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
• Disorderly Conduct, 2nd Degree

Assisting at the scene was Clay County K9 Deputy Brandon Edwards, Manchester City Police Chief Chris Fultz, Manchester City Police Officer Antonio Dodson, Manchester City Police K9 Officer Ryan Jackson and Kentucky State Police Trooper Jordan Hopkins.
