Clay County Sheriff asking Public's help regarding a stolen cemetery gate

Clay County, Ky. (October, 25, 2019) - The Clay County Sheriff's is reporting that: On October 24, 2019 Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson received a complaint of vandalism and theft that occurred at the Squire Hensley Cemetery off of North Highway 11.

 During the investigation, Sheriff Robinson and Chief Deputy Jones was able to get a positive identity of a male subject that was attempting to sell a gate within the Oneida Community.

Sheriff Robinson and Chief Deputy Jones located a subject that matched the individual described in the theft and vandalism at a residence on Sol Hollow Road.

This individual was identified as: Shannon Davidson age 43.

During the investigation, the subject admitted to the crimes and gave a location of where he had taken the stolen items.

Upon arrival at a residence on Mae Reid Road, items were discovered that had been taken from the property.

Shannon Davidson was charged with:

• Serving Bench Warrant for Court
• Serving Bench Warrant for Court
• Resisting Arrest
• Theft by Unlawful Taking
• Violating Graves
