DUI Arrest at scene of Accident in Clay County

Clay County, Ky. (December 3, 2019) - The Clay County Sheriff's Office is reporting that: On December 2, 2019 at approximately 2:00 PM Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson arrested Tommy Slone, 68 of Tennessee.

The arrest occurred when Sheriff Robinson was dispatched to a complaint of a single vehicle accident on North Highway 66.

Upon arrival, Sheriff Robinson made contact with the subject who was drinking whiskey.

Through investigation it was determined the subject was highly intoxicated.

The subject had to be physically packed to Sheriff Robinson’s patrol car. 

Tommy Slone was charged with:

• Operating Motor Vehicle under the Influence of ALC/DRUGS/ETC.
• Possession of Open Alcohol Beverage in Motor Vehicle
• Failure to Wear Seatbelts
