Two arrested in Laurel County at scene of disturbance complaint

Laurel County, Ky. (December 11, 2019) - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Kyle Gray along with Deputy Joey Robinson and Deputy Taylor McDaniel arrested two individuals off Thompson Poynter Road near a business on Tuesday afternoon December 10, 2019 at approximately 1:35 PM.

The arrests occurred after deputies were dispatched to a disturbance complaint there.

Upon arrival at the scene deputies learned there had apparently been an altercation inside a business between a male and female subject who both ran outside.

Allegedly, during the scuffle the female subject and a seven month old child fell to the ground causing possible injury to the child. The child was transported by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment of possible injuries.

Deputies noted the child had scratches on his chest, side and back.

The two arrested individuals were identified as:

Marshall Otis Miracle age 20 of London charged with:

  • Assault – 4th degree
  • Disorderly conduct – second-degree
  • Wanton endangerment – second-degree

Mikayla Sue Moore age 19 of London charged with:

  • Assault – 4th degree
  • Disorderly conduct – second-degree
  • Wanton endangerment – second-degree

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

Social Services was called to assist with placement of the child, who was placed with other family.
