Three Arrested for Drugs in London

Four plus ounces Meth suspects

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root Along with Sheriff's detectives and deputies arrested three individuals following a traffic stop conducted off West KY 80 in London on Wednesday night February 5, 2020 at approximately 11:00 PM.

Sheriff's officials stopped a white colored Chevrolet Cruze on a speeding violation and during the stop with the assistance of Deputy Gary Mehler and his K-9 ”Edge” located a large quantity of Methamphetamine, scales, a glass pipe with Meth residue, and three occupants inside the vehicle identified as:

The driver – Luis Rivera Merced age 38 of Shackle Rd., London charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine

A passenger – Steven Williams age 44 of South Main St., London charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Another passenger – Judith Collins age 58 of South Main St., London charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine

These three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
