Teenage Volunteer Fireman Arrested for Arson in Kentucky

STANFORD, KY (May 19, 2020) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is conducting a fire investigation after two homes were damaged in Lincoln County.

KSP Post 7 was initially contacted on April 12, 2020, in reference to a house fire on Maywood Road in, Stanford. Then, approximately a month later on May 10th, a second house fire occurred on Pond School Road, in Waynesburg.

Both of the homes were vacant residences. As a result of the initial investigation, the two fires were determined to be connected and had been intentionally set. 

As a result of the ongoing investigation, a Lincoln County Volunteer Fireman has been arrested.

Jeffrey 'Tyler" Knouse, 19 of Stanford, KY has been charged with:

  • Two counts of Arson 2nd Degree

This individual was lodged in the Lincoln County Jail.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Arson Investigator Pat Alford. He was assisted by the ATF and the Lincoln County Fire Department.
