Whitley deputies seize Methamphetamine and currency on Corinth Cemetery Road in Corbin, KY

CORBIN, KY - The Whitley County Sheriff's Department is reporting that: Based on information provided by KSP Trooper Jeremy Elliotte and Deputy JB Coffey, Sgt. Jonas Saunders obtained a search warrant for a location off of Corinth Cemetery Road in Corbin.

After searching the property with KSP Troopers Brandon Creekmore, Trooper Donnie Jones, Trooper Jeremy Elliotte, Whitley County Deputies Jason Strunk and Mike Lawson, a considerable amount of Methamphetamine, cash, and drug paraphernalia were located on the property.

Based on the investigation, Danny McGinnis was charged with:

  • Trafficking in Methamphetamine greater that 2 grams
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Also charged was Jamie Wilson for:

  • Trafficking in Methamphetamine greater than 2 grams
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree-drug unspecified

The Whitley County Sheriff's Deparment had been specifically working the area of Corinth Road, 5th Street Road, and Eatontown Road due to recent drug related arrest and information provided by the community.

Sgt. Saunders is continuing the investigation.
