Manchester, Ky. man flees Police during Drug Investigation in London

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff Detective James Sizemore arrested three individuals on Friday evening August 7, 2020 at approximately 5:08 PM.

The arrests occurred off McFadden Lane in London while deputies were conducting a drug investigation and located three individuals and found suspected Methamphetamine, a pipe with suspected Methamphetamine residue, and a hypodermic needle.

During the investigation, one subject fled from deputies on foot and following a foot chase and a brief scuffle with deputies was taken into custody.

The three arrested individuals were identified as:

Charles R. Smith age 50 of South Wind St., London charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine

Miranda C. Smith age 27 of McFadden Lane, London charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Ronnie D. Fox age 29 of Upper Rader Rd., Manchester, KY charged with:

  • Public intoxication – controlled substances
  • Fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot
  • Resisting arrest

All three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

Assisting on the investigation and arrests for the Laurel County Sheriff's office were: Detective James Sizemore, Maj. Chuck Johnson, Lieut. Chris Edwards, Sgt. Greg Poynter, Deputy Daniel Reed, and K-9 Deputy Gary Mehler.

 Laurel County Sheriff John Root stated that drug investigations will continue in Laurel County.
