Police in southeastern Ky. respond to complaint that eight children had been kidnapped, were being sexually abused and sent to Cuba

LONDON, KY (August 21, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Houston along with K-9 Deputy Gary Mehler and Deputy James Fox arrested Kristan M. Young age 41 of London early Friday morning August 21, 2020 at approximately 3:18 AM.

The arrest occurred off Waterworks Road, approx. 3 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint from a female subject that her eight children had been kidnapped, were being sexually abused, and sent to Cuba.

The complainant advised she would meet deputies out in front of a residence there.

Upon arrival at the scene deputies could not locate the complainant however could hear her off in the distance yelling.

Deputies were finally able to locate this individual who advised she was yelling at her husband however no one was there.

This individual further stated that her husband and Kristan Young (who was the complainant) had stolen her eight children, molested them and was shipping them to Cuba.

In addition, this subject continued to yell at people that were not present.

She had allegedly also traveled through neighbor’s yards and property and following an investigation was determined to be under the influence.

Upon arrest this subject briefly struggled with deputies but was taken into custody and escorted to a police vehicle and on to the correctional center.

Kristan M. Young was charged with:

  • Falsely reporting an incident
  • Public intoxication – controlled substances
  • Criminal trespassing – third-degree
  • Disorderly conduct – second-degree
  • Resisting arrest

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center
