Suspicious behavior leads to Methamphetamine arrests in a business parking lot south of London, Ky.

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Hobie Daugherty and Deputy Landry Collett arrested two individuals in a business parking lot off Highway 312 approximately 10 miles south of London following suspicious behavior by the occupants there.

The arrests occurred early Monday morning November 9, 2020 at approximately 3:45 A.M. following an investigation conducted by Sheriff's deputies.

numerous drugs and paraphernalia were found in possession of the two occupants including:

  • Suspected Methamphetamine
  • Pills
  • Marijuana
  • Syringes, one of which was loaded
  • A pipe tool

The two arrested individuals were identified as:

Jeffrey Dwight Philpot age 47 of South Archer Dr., Woodbine, KY charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a controlled substance – third-degree
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia
  • Prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense
  • Possession of Marijuana

Rhonda JoAnn Bryant age 33 of Lily Road, London, KY charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
