Two Kentucky Residents Charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine & Heroin near London

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Taylor along with Deputy Tommy Houston, Deputy Landry Collett, Deputy James Fox, and shift Sgt. John Inman arrested two individuals at a business off US 25 approximately 1 mile north of London while conducting a drug investigation there early Tuesday morning November 17, 2020 at approximately 4:45 AM.

The arrests occurred after deputies found two individuals in possession of: Suspected Methamphetamine, suspected Heroin, digital scales, and a loaded hypodermic needle in their vehicle, a black colored Chevrolet Silverado outside the business.

The two arrested individuals were identified as:

Lauren Taylor Gannon age 29 of Somerset St., Stanford, KY charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first offense – Heroin
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia

Samuel Alex McKinley age 24 of Somerset St., Stamford, KY charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – Methamphetamine;
  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first offense – Heroin
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia

 These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
