LONDON, KY (December 3, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel County Sheriff John Root along with Lieut. Chris Edwards arrested Virgil Lee Elza age 73 of Elsa Road, London on Thursday morning December 3, 2020 at approximately 11:10 AM.
The arrest occurred off Elza Road approximately 4 miles north of London while deputies were conducting a drug investigation and the execution of a drug search warrant at a residence there.
Sheriff's investigators found:
- A large quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine
- Digital scales
- Other drug paraphernalia
Arrested was:
Virgil Lee Elza charged with:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
