MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on February 12, 2021 at approximately 7:30 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Coty Arnold arrested Danny Kilgore, 44 of Manchester.

The arrest occurred at a business off of South Highway 421 when Deputy Arnold was attempting to serve an active warrant on subject when he encountered the above mentioned subject.

Deputy Arnold attempted to make contact with the subject when he took off on foot attempting to evade Deputy Arnold. After a brief foot pursuit, when Deputy Arnold made contact with the subject he became combative.

After multiple verbal commands to quit resisting, the subject was still combative. Deputy Arnold attempted to use his taser which was ineffective.

Deputy Arnold along with responding units was able to place the subject under arrest without further incident.

While the subject's information was being ran through Clay County Dispatch, he attempted to take off on foot again but was shortly apprehended.

Danny Kilgore was charged with:

  • Resisting Arrest
  • Fleeing or Evading Police (On Foot) 2nd Degree
  • Escape 2nd degree
  • Menacing
  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
  • Serving Bench Warrant for Court
  • Serving Parole Violation Warrant
  • Assault 3rd Degree (Police Officer)

This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
