Alleged Verbal Altercation Turned Physical in Southeast Kentucky when Man Allegedly Placed Both Hands on Throat of Female Victim Impeding Her Breathing and then Fled Before Deputies Arrived

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that:    Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Marcus Stigall along with K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler arrested Jordan Wesley Wagner on Thursday afternoon February 25, 2021 at approximately 4:19 PM.

The arrest occurred in London after this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court warrant of arrest obtained by Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Taylor regarding an investigation he conducted on February 19, 2021 where allegedly this individual was involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical when this individual allegedly placed both hands on the throat of a female victim impeding her breathing, and then fled the scene before deputies arrived.

Jordan Wesley Wagner was charged with:

  • Strangulation – first-degree
  • Fleeing or evading police – first-degree – on foot
  • Assault – 4th degree

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
