Four Jailed in Southeast, Kentucky: Two Charged with Methamphetamine Trafficking & Two Wanted on Arrests Warrants

LONDON, KY (March 13, 2021) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective James Sizemore and Detective Bryon Lawson arrested four individuals on Friday afternoon March 12, 2021 at approximately 4:14 PM.

The arrests occurred off Rader Ridge Road, approximately 3 miles northeast of London while detectives were conducting an unrelated investigation there.

When detectives arrived at the residence they found two female subjects in possession of:

  • Suspected Methamphetamine
  • Hydrocodone tablets
  • Xanax bars
  • Needles
  • Scales

In addition, two male subjects located there were determined to be wanted on outstanding charges.

Those arrested were identified as:

Stacie Graves age 46 of Rader Ridge Rd., London, KY charged with:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia
  • Trafficking in a Controlled substance – third-degree – first offense

Sonya Browning age 44 of Rader Ridge Rd., London, KY charged with:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine;
  • Trafficking in a Controlled substance – first-degree – first offense
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia
  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – third-degree – first offense

Jamie Newman age 43 of Rader Ridge Rd., London, KY charged on a Knox District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:

  • Failure to appear in court

Jeffrey Abner age 55 of Delmas Gillam Rd., London, KY charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:

  • No bond allowed regarding charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence

 Laurel County Sheriff John Root stated that drug investigations and arrests will continue in Laurel County.

 Assisting for the Laurel County Sheriff's office were Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Travis Napier, Maj. Chuck Johnson, K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler, Deputy Greg Poynter, Bailiff Paige Vanhook, and Bailiff Jerry Poynter. Laurel Sheriff's Detective James Sizemore and Detective Bryon Lawson are case officers.
