LSO Special Deputies and K-9 Assist in Land Search for Two Missing Persons in Clay County, Kentucky

Special Deputies Michelle Day and Cindy Cobb with K-9 “Dakota” assisted in missing persons search

LONDON, KY - (March 24, 2021) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel County Sheriff's Office Special Deputy Michelle Day, and Special Deputy Cindy Cobb with K-9 “Dakota” and a Laurel County resident -Tammy Elza and her K-9 “Carbon” assisted the Clay County Sheriff's office, Kentucky State Police and Clay County Emergency Management in a land search for two missing persons in Clay County on March 23, 2021.

The two missing persons are identified as:

Robert “Bob” Estep and David Campbell and are unrelated missing persons cases.

The K-9 teams from Laurel County will continue to assist on the search.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root stated that his office stands ready to assist other agencies when called upon.
