Methamphetamine Arrests after Investigation on Three Suspicious Subjects in Southeast Kentucky

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Taylor along with Deputy Landry Collett, Deputy Hobie Daugherty, and shift Sgt. John Inman arrested three individuals early Friday morning April 2, 2021 at approximately 2:31 AM.

The arrests occurred at a business parking lot off Adams Road approximately 10 miles South of London after deputies conducted an investigation on three suspicious subjects in and around a black colored Chevrolet Malibu there.

During the investigation deputies observed a passenger trying to conceal items.

During the continuing investigation, Deputies located:

  • Suspected Methamphetamine
  • Xanax
  • Digital scales
  • Used plastic bags
  • A glass smoking pipe
  • Other controlled substances

The three arrested individuals were identified as:

Jeffery L. Elliott age 51 of Dow Atkins Rd., Corbin, KY charged with:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Controlled substance – first-degree – first offense
  • Possession of a Controlled substance – third-degree
  • Prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia

Clay Mosley age 47 of West Laurel Rd., London, KY charged with:

  • Possession of a Controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia

Robert S. Herren age 40 of Forest Circle Dr., Corbin, KY charged with:

  • Possession of a Controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia

All three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
