LONDON, KY (August 23, 20210 - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Jamie Etherton along with Deputy Brent France and K-9 Deputy Jake Miller arrested Gary Lee Gillespie age 59 of Keavy on Sunday afternoon August 22, 2021 at approximately 12:09 PM.
The arrest occurred off South Laurel Rd., approximately 1 1/2 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a disturbance complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene an investigation was conducted and it was learned that allegedly this subject had struck a female subject there.
Gary Gillespie was charged with:
- Assault – 4th degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
