LONDON, KY (September 20, 2021) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Dylan Messer arrested Martha Douglas age 41 of London on Friday night September 17, 2021 at approximately 9:17 PM.
The arrest occurred off US 25 approximately 4 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a noninjury traffic crash there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies located a gray colored Toyota Camry partially through a chain-link fence with the engine running and the driver blowing the horn.
Deputies had to pull the fence back to allow the driver out of the vehicle and upon exiting deputies noted detecting the odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the driver.
An investigation was conducted and this subject was determined to be under the influence.
Martha Douglas was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
