Jack Horn, Kentucky Man facing several Charges after a Disturbance Complaint in Laurel County

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Brian France along with Deputy Dylan Messer and Deputy Greg Poynter arrested David A. Bentley age 40 of Jack Horn, KY on Sunday night October 24, 2021 at approximately 8:22 PM.

The arrest occurred off Old Union Church Road, approximately 3 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a disturbance complaint there.

Upon arrival at the scene deputies conducted an investigation and learned there was an active EPO/DVO in place.

As the investigation continued deputies noted that the male subject there became very irate, and upon arrest complained his neck was hurting and wanted EMS.

EMS was notified and responded to the scene and conducted an evaluation determining there was nothing wrong with him.

Upon arrest this individual began striking his head against the cage and window of the patrol car and attempted to kick deputies with his feet.

During transport to the detention facility this individual continued to scream and struck his head against the inside of the patrol car and threatened deputies.

David A. Bentley was charged with:

  • Violation of a foreign EPO/DVO
  • Alcohol intoxication
  • Resisting arrest
  • Assault – third-degree – police officer is victim
  • Terroristic threatening – third-degree

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
