Sheriff in Laurel County, Kentucky asking for Help identifying a Theft Suspect

LONDON, KY - The Laurel County Sheriff's Office is reporting that: Laurel County Sheriff John Root is asking for help in identifying a suspect involved in the theft of a large amount of money along with a cell phone.

The theft occurred on Thursday, November 4, 2021 after the victim accidentally left her purse in a business bathroom off West Cumberland Gap Parkway in southern Laurel County.

The purse was recovered from the trash in the business, but the money and phone were missing.

Through assistance from the store, video surveillance captured an image of the suspect.

If anyone can identify the individual in the pictures, please contact the Laurel County Sheriff's Office at 606-864-6600 and ask for Deputy Travis Napier who is the case officer.
