Once the vehicle did stop, it was found to be occupied by two persons, 46 year old Eva I. Carroll of Carrsville, KY  and 49 year old Gary L. Thomas of northern Graves County.

Neither had business in the area and were not from the area.

Methamphetamine, and firearms were located in their possession with one of the two being a convicted felon and firearms were illegal to possess.

Both Eva Carroll and  Gary Thomas were charged with:

  • Being in violation of the emergency county curfew order
  • Possession of Methamphetamine,
  • Tampering with physical evidence
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Gary L. Thomas was additionally charged with:

A Campbell County Sheriff’s deputy assisted in the investigation and arrests. They are one of many agencies in Graves County assisting with manpower to extra patrol the tornado damaged areas.

Carroll was transported and lodged at the Fulton County Jail, and Thomas was lodged at the Calloway County Jail.

The sheriff’s office is being assisted in conducting these patrols by various law enforcement agencies across Kentucky for the safety and well being of the residents that were effected the worst.

Some of these properties cannot be protected by the homeowners due to being hospitalized, or that may be deceased.

The extra patrols ordered by Sheriff Hayden will continue in these areas.
