TENNESSEE WOMAN ARRESTED FOR HEROIN DURING COMPLAINT INVESTIGATION IN KENTUCKY

LONDON, KY (January 3, 2022) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bo Harris along with Deputy Dustin Saylor and Deputy James Sizemore arrested Angela Ewing age 45 of Knoxville, Tennessee on Sunday night January 2, 2021 at approximately 10:43 PM.

The arrest occurred at a business off West Cumberland Gap Parkway approximately 10 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of an apparent intoxicated female at the business there.

When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation, they determined that this subject was under the influence.

In addition, this subject was found in possession of:

  • Suspected Heroin
  • Several syringes
  • A metal spoon
  • Suspected Marijuana

Angela Ewing 200

Angela Ewing was charged with:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Public intoxication – controlled substances
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Heroin
  • Possession of Marijuana

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
