Meth Trafficking Arrest

LONDON, KENTUCKY WOMAN WANTED ON FELONY WARRANT ARRESTED FOR METHAMPHETAMINE TRAFFICKING FOLLOWING A TRAFFIC STOP ON INTERSTATE 75

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Bryon Lawson along with Deputy Justin Taylor, Deputy Landry Collett, and Detective Sgt. Richard Dalrymple arrested Miranda Smith age 28 of Falls Road, London on Wednesday evening January 5, 2022 at approximately 5:44 PM.

The arrest occurred on I–75 at the Hal Rogers Parkway exit in London following a traffic stop conducted on a blue Toyota Corolla.

During the traffic stop the driver was found in possession of a large amount of suspected Methamphetamine and a set of digital scales.

In addition, the driver was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant.

Miranda Smith

Miranda Smith was charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – Methamphetamine

In addition, Smith was charged on a Laurel Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging probation violation regarding charges of:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Heroin.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
