April 1st Arrest in Southeastern Kentucky during Investigation of a Burglary and Theft Complaint in Leslie County

STINNETT, KY - The Leslie County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that: On Friday, April 1, 2022 at approximately 10:00 P.M Deputy Sheriff Shane Wilson received a complaint from Leslie County Dispatch of a burglary and theft on Highway 406.  Items taken included tools and a Kawasaki ATV.

During Deputy Wilson’s investigation he was able to determine Christopher Howard, 54, from Stinnett,KY as the suspect.

Sheriff Billy Collett and Deputy Wilson went to Howard’s home to question him about the burglary and theft at which time he admitted to the burglary and lead Sheriff Collett and Deputy Wilson to the stolen Kawasaki ATV hid behind his house.

Christopher Howard was charged with the following:

•Burglary 3rd degree
•TBUT or disp all others $500<$1,000
•Criminal trespass 3rd degree

This individual was lodged in the Leslie County Detention Center.
