Driver arrested for Meth / Passenger charged on 3 Warrants from 2 separate Kentucky Counties & Meth after Traffic Stop in London

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's interdiction unit Justin Taylor along with interdiction unit Landry Collett, shift Sgt. John Inman and Deputy Tommy Houston arrested two individuals early Thursday morning May 5, 2022 at approximately 3:36 AM.

The arrests occurred following a traffic stop conducted on a dark blue Chevrolet Cruze on North Laurel Road in London after the two occupants were found in possession of suspected Methamphetamine.

In addition, the passenger Christopher Garlic was determined to have three outstanding bench warrants.

The two arrested individuals were identified as:

Bowling Garlic 5 5 22

The driver, Willa L. Bowling age 37 of Blanton Subdivision Road, London, KY charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

The passenger, Christopher Garlic age 31 of Lonnie Miller Road, Corbin, KY charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

In addition, this individual was charged on a Whitley District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:

  • Public intoxication – controlled substances
  • Contempt of court

In addition, this subject was charged on a second Whitley District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:

  • Contempt of court

Also, this individual was charged on a Harlan District Court bench warrant of arrest regarding numerous traffic violations.

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
