BUSTED FRIDAY 13TH / SEIZURE OF DRUGS, U.S. CURRENCY & GUN CACHE LOCATED DURING SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTION IN LESLIE COUNTY, KENTUCKY

HYDEN, KY (May 13, 2022) - The Leslie County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that on Friday, May 13, 2022 Leslie County Sheriff Billy Collett, Chief Deputy Sheriff Jeremy Vega and Deputy Sheriff Shane Wilson executed a search warrant on Glady Branch Road in the Stinnett community of Leslie County.

MORGAN Arrest LeslieDeputy Sheriff Shane Wilson obtained information about the sale of Methamphetamines and Heroin and opened an investigation. During the investigation a search warrant was obtained.

Sheriff Collett, Chief Deputy Vega and Wilson arrived at the Glady Branch Road residence at approximately 12:20 A.M. Friday morning to execute the search warrant. During their search, located and seized was:

  • Approximately 19 grams of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine and Heroin
  • Suspected Marijuana
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • Digital scales
  • A large amount of U.S. currency
  • 22 guns

Arrested was Robert “Mitchell “ Morgan age 50, of Stinnett, KY.

Robert Morgan was charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (Methamphetamine) (enhancement)
  • Trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (Heroin) (enhancement)
  • Trafficking in Marijuana 1st offense (enhancement)
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
  • Drug paraphernalia

This individual was lodged in the Leslie County Detention Center.
