Greenup, Kentucky Man arrested for Methamphetamine during Drug Investigation in Laurel County

LONDON, KY (May 30, 2022) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Jones arrested Jared Brady Clair age 44 of Lois Ave., Greenup, KY early Monday morning May 30, 2022, at approximately 2:42 AM.

The arrest occurred at a business off I–75 near KY 909 approximately 9 miles north of London while Deputy Jones conducted a drug investigation there.

Deputy Jones located a gold Malibu passenger vehicle and found an occupant in the vehicle in possession of plastic baggies rolled up -one of which contained a crystal-like substance believed to be Methamphetamine.

The occupant attempted to conceal the items found by throwing them into another part of the vehicle, however they were located by Deputy Jones.

Jared Brady Clair was charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Tampering with physical evidence

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
