Webster County Sheriff indicted after Prosecution by Kentucky Attorney General Cameron's Office

FRANKFORT, KY – Attorney General Daniel Cameron is reporting that action by his Special Prosecutions Unit has resulted in the indictment of Webster County Sheriff, Donald Jones, 57, of Sebree, KY.

On Wednesday, August 10, 2022, a Webster County Grand Jury indicted Jones on:

  • One count of Official Misconduct First Degree (Class A Misdemeanor)
  • One count of Tampering with a Witness (Class D Felony)

Detective Herman Hall investigated the case on behalf of the Attorney General's Office.

Assistant Attorney General Barbara Whaley presented the case before the Webster County Grand Jury on behalf of the Commonwealth.

The charges in an indictment are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
