LONDON, KY (September 5, 2022) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Byron Grimes arrested Carmelitta Collett age 33 of Cane Creek Road, London on Saturday afternoon September 3, 2022 at approximately 3:24 PM.
The arrest occurred off KY 3434 approximately 5 miles north after this subject was charged on Warrants of Arrest.
Carmelitta Collett was charged with:
A Laurel District Court indictment warrant of arrest charging:
- Theft by unlawful taking $1000 or more but under $10,000
- Persistent felony offender I
In addition this subject was charged on a Madison County bench warrant of arrest charging:
- Failure to appear in court
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
