ADDICTION RECOVERY CARE GIVES BACK TO KENTUCKY COMMUNITIES DURING INAUGURAL ‘MLK DAY’ WEEK OF SERVICE

MLK Week arc 5

LOUISA, KY — In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life and legacy, Addiction Recovery Care is proud to announce its inaugural MLK Day Week of Service. During this week, ARC employees will take “a day on, not a day off” and volunteer in their communities.

“Beyond the important work we do to help others find hope and healing after addiction, there are so many wonderful opportunities for us to serve our communities,” said Tim Robinson, Founder and CEO of ARC. “Dr. King once said that ‘everybody can be great, because everybody can serve,’ and we’re excited to take an active role in helping our neighbors through compassionate and servant-hearted service.”

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is the only federal holiday designated by Congress as a National Day of Service. Because ARC is a large organization, the company is expanding the day of service into a week-long initiative.

“ARC’s MLK Day Week of Service is a great way to publicly display our diversity and inclusion efforts,” said Herbert Smith, Vice President of Human Resources at ARC. “When our organization steps up together, we can create meaningful change, serve our underprivileged neighbors and ultimately make our communities more equitable.”
