Investigation by Attorney General Cameron's Office Leads to Indictment of Muhlenberg County Woman for Abuse of an Adult

FRANKFORT, KY - Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced Friday that an investigation by his Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control led to the indictment of Madison Hill, 24, of Central City, for abuse of an adult.

On Friday, January 20, 2023, a Muhlenberg County Grand Jury indicted Hill on one count of knowing abuse or neglect of an adult (Class C Felony).

According to the indictment, in June 2021, Hill unlawfully abused or neglected a vulnerable adult while working as a caretaker.

Detective Jared Spurrier of the Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control investigated the case. Assistant Attorney General Emily Campbell and Detective Spurrier presented the case before the Muhlenberg County Grand Jury on behalf of the Commonwealth.

The charges in an indictment are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
