LONDON, KY (February 20, 2023) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Josh Velasco along with Deputy Stephen Walker arrested Chester Osborne age 26 of London on Thursday following a traffic stop conducted on Highway 1376 approximately 6 miles north of London.
During the stop, the driver was determined to be wanted on an outstanding warrant.
Chester Osborne was charged on a Laurel District Court complaint warrant of arrest obtained by Deputy Allen Turner charging:
- Fleeing or evading police – first-degree – on foot
The warrant was regarding a pursuit in January on Pine Top Road west of London where this individual fled on foot after the vehicle became disabled, and was not located.
During the pursuit it was alleged that a handgun and Methamphetamine were tossed out the window.
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
