Man allegedly used Knife to Slash and Stab Victim during Assault in Laurel County, Kentucky

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Robert Reed along with Detective Jake Miller investigated an assault which occurred outside a mobile home trailer park approximately 2 miles South of London early Tuesday morning February 21, 2023 at approximately 9:45 AM.

Investigators learned that allegedly Joshua Bowling age 24 of London stabbed a male subject five times and slashed his back with a knife.

The victim traveled to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Joshua Bowling was arrested on a warrant obtained by Laurel Sheriff's Detective Robert Reed at 9:51 A.M. February 21, 2023 charging Joshua Bowling with:

  • Attempted Murder

In addition, Joshua Bowling was charged on a Whitley District Court complaint warrant of arrest charging:

  • Criminal mischief – first-degree
  • Disorderly conduct – second-degree
  • Assault – second-degree

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
