LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Josh Velasco along with Deputy Cyruss McVey arrested Ricky Gilbert of Manchester on Saturday afternoon February 25, 2023 at approximately 4:08 PM.
The arrest occurred off West Line Creek Road, approximately 7 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched to a shoplifting complaint at Dollar General Store.
Upon arrival at the complaint scene Deputies made contact with Ricky Gilbert age 28 of Lyttleton Road, Manchester, KY and determined that the subject was wanted on Two (2) outstanding arrest warrants.
Ricky Gilbert was arrested and charged on:
1. A Laurel Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging a probation violation regarding charges of:
- Receiving stolen property $10,000 or more
2. A Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
