LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Greg Poynter arrested Anthony L. Jones age 32 of East Bernstadt on Friday morning March 31, 2023 at approximately 10:15 AM.
The arrest occurred off Littontown Road, approximately 4 miles north of London following an investigation conducted by Deputy Poynter.
Following an earlier investigation while assisting DCBS, Deputy Poynter obtained two complaint warrants of arrest.
The first complaint warrant of arrest charged:
- Four counts of criminal abuse – third-degree – child 12 or under
Allegedly, the accused used an electric cattle prod multiple times on two children for discipline.
The second complaint warrant of arrest charged:
- One count of criminal abuse – third-degree
The accused, Anthony L. Jones of East Bernstadt, KY was arrested and transported to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
Anthony Jones is charged with:
- CRIMINAL ABUSE THIRD DEGREE-CHILD 12 OR UNDER
- CRIMINAL ABUSE 3RD DEGREE
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
