Meth seized during arrest of a Cannon, Kentucky Man that crashed Motorcycle while attempting to flee Police in Knox County

BARBOURVILLE, KY - The Knox County Sheriff's Department is reporting that on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at approximately 11:40 P.M. Deputy Jesse Smith was patrolling KY 233 in Gray when he observed a motorcycle failing to stop at a stop sign on Dr. Parker Lane.

When Deputy Smith activated his emergency equipment to conduct a traffic stop, the operator of the motorcycle, identified as 42-year-old Crit Golden of Cannon, KY attempted to flee by going through the yard of a residence.

The motorcycle crashed into a ditch and was unable to continue.

Deputy Smith arrested Crit Golden charging him with:

  • Disregarding Stop Sign
  • Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operators License
  • No Registration Plates or Receipt
  • No Insurance
  • Fleeing or Evading Police-1st Degree

During the arrest two clear plastic bags containing approximately one and one-half ounces of suspected Methamphetamine were located in his possession and seized.

Mr. Golden was additionally charged with:

  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree

This individual was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
