ARRESTS: Drug Paraphernalia with Meth Residue accessible to Children and a Wanted subject Located off KY 1006 in Laurel County, Kentucky

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Stephen Walker arrested two individuals on Friday night April 28, 2023 at approximately 8:04 PM.

The arrests occurred at a residence off KY 1006, approximately 1/2 mile South of London after Deputy Walker was dispatched to assist social services on a referral call.

During the investigation, Tabitha Hinkle age 38 of London, KY was found in possession of drug paraphernalia containing a white residue believed to be Methamphetamine in an area accessible to children living there.

Deputy Walker found scales with residue, a spoon with residue, and items used as a tourniquet.

In addition, Deputy Walker found a male subject identified as, Michael Vann age 44 of London, KY, who was wanted on a probation violation warrant, hiding in the bathroom.

Arrested was:

Tabitha Hinkle was charged with:

  • Endangering the welfare of a minor
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine

Michael Vann was charged on a Fayette District Court complaint warrant of arrest charging probation violation regarding:

  • Absconding
  • Failure to attend counseling

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
